Why I Started BE Lean

New Years is always a special time for BE Lean because it not only marks the beginning of a new year, but it also marks the anniversary of when I started the company.

And this year, BE Lean hit its six year mark! 🎉

When I started BE Lean six years ago, I did so because of two strongly held beliefs I had forged over my ten prior years in entrepreneurship.

✨ Business can be a vehicle for personal agency and positive change in the world.

✨ Businesses should live or die on the merits of their ideas, not executional shortcomings.

People don’t start businesses because they want to run a business.

They do so because they’re passionate about what they do and they want to leave their mark on the world. They want the freedom to create a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.

These were the same reasons why I got into business in the first place. Entrepreneurship gave me the agency to carve my own path and create the life that I wanted.

Six years ago, I felt called to help others do the same. And coming off BE Lean's best year in business, I feel that calling more strongly today than I ever have before.
